Before there was a label, there was someone who helped shape a musical journey.
Miss Mac Music honours Joan McMorris, Jaime Hinckson’s piano teacher and guardian angel, affectionately known as “Miss Mac.” Her guidance is part of the story behind the music.
Giving the label her name carries that influence into a new chapter: original work, musical collaboration and a place for artists to create together.
It is a reminder that music grows through people—the teachers who encourage us, the musicians we learn from and the collaborators who help an idea become a record.

Pianist, producer and the creative force behind Miss Mac Music.
Jaime’s work brings reggae, jazz and live instrumentation into conversation. Through Miss Mac Music, that approach extends beyond his own recordings to collaborations with distinctive voices from around the world.
The label celebrates musicianship: the expression of a player, the character of an instrument and the possibilities that emerge when artists share ideas.

Keep Trodding Riddim brings the collaborative spirit of Miss Mac Music into focus.
Released in April 2024, the collection connects artists with different perspectives around a shared musical foundation. Each song brings its own voice to the project.
